| 内容記述 | アンシアン・レジーム期の領主制を所領の経済構造から検討することは一つの有効な方法であるが、その実態的解明のためには、構造分析のみならず変動分析が不可欠である。本稿では、ボージョレ地方サン=ラジェ領を例にとり、領主権力の財政基盤を所領収入の変動をとおして探ってみる。17～18世紀をつうじ、サン=ラジェの領主財政は次の点で特徴的であった。1）所領収入の約40%が領主的諸権利にもとづいていること。2）所領収入のブドウ収穫高への依存度は18世紀が進むにしたがって高くなり、収入（とくに封与10分の1税および小作料）の短期・長期の変動はブドウ酒価格とほぼ連動する。3）封建地代であるサンスは代金納であるため、そこからの収入は価格変動にもかかわらず実質価値を維持している。こうした傾向が重なり、所領の財政規模が拡大する一方で、領主的諸権利への依存度の高い収入構成が保たれた。フランス革命により領主的諸権利が廃止されたため、サン=ラジェの領主財政は急激な変化を強いられるが、領主はいまや近代地主に変貌している。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | To understand the characteristics of the seigneurial system in France's Old Regime, it is important to examine its finance. The objective of this article is to investigate various aspects of seigneurial revenue as it fluctuated at Saint-Lager in Beaujolais. Documents show three characteristics regarding finance in this system: 1) 40% of seigneurial revenue came from feudal rights; 2) revenue (principally seigneurial tithe and métayage) depended more and more on the grape harvest (especially since the beginning of the 18th century), and on the whole, revenue fluctuated along with the price of wine; and 3) the cens (feudal rent), based on commodities but paid in money, was not influenced by price fluctuation. In other words, it kept its real value. Thus, prosperity in the second half of the 18th century brought a certain vivacity to seigneurial finance. However, the Revolution forced it to accept brutal change in abolishing feudal rights. Then the seigneur became the modern landowner. | |||||||||||
