2012（平成24）年度に高校の学習指導要領の改定があり、高校1年生で学ぶ数学I の学習内容は、従来の3分野に加え新分野として「データの分析」が加わり、計4分野となった。つまり、2015年度に大学に現役入学してきた学生は、この「データの分析」分野を初めて学習してきた学生となる。そこで、2015年度（医療検査学科のみ）と2016年度（医療検査学科と看護学科）の入学生に対し、「データの分析」分野の学習定着度を調査した。その結果、両年度・両学科とも“数学的な概念”の学習定着度が低かった。このことから、保健医療系学部における統計学教育においては、“数学的な概念”の理解に力をいれていくことが極めて重要であることが示唆された。 |

A curriculum reform in 2012 had introduced data analysis to the mathematics curriculum for the first-year high school students. We investigated the basic statistics competency of students who participated in the new curriculum, namely, the students who matriculated at our school in 2015. This particular study was specific for the students of Kobe Tokiwa University Faculty of Health Sciences. We discovered that the ability to understand basic mathematical concepts was very low for the matriculation cohorts of 2015 and 2016, and in both departments. These results emphasize the importance of efforts to improve the students' knowledge of mathematical fundamentals through statistics education. |
