| 内容記述 | 本論文は、子どもの成長に関わる大人が絵本について知っておくべきことは何かについて論じている。絵本 の読み聞かせは、子どもに喜びを与えるだけでなく、子どもの理解力やコミュニケーション能力を高め、想像 力を豊かにする。さらに、自分たちのいる世界は美しいものであることを子どもに伝え、生きていくために大 切なメッセージをもたらしてくれる。その観点から、子どものために絵本を選ぶのは大人の私たちがすべきこ とであると考え、よい本とはどういうものであるか、選ぶ目をどのようにして養うことができるかについて考 察する。また、絵本の豊かさを享受する機会を子どもから奪いかねない映像メディアの危険性を指摘し、子ど もに関わる大人がその危険性について認識し、伝えていく必要性をも明らかにする。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | This paper argues what those who concern children should know about picture books. Reading books to children gives them joy, and at the same time, it improves their ability for understanding and communicating. It also enriches their imagination. Moreover, it can be said that picture books can give children wisdom and strength to live by showing them that the world to which they belong is a beautiful place. From this viewpoint, offering children good books is our responsibility. So, the paper also considers what is essential for good books, and how we can cultivate our ability to choose good books for children. Finally, the paper discusses that screen media, such as TV, videos and computer games, can deprive children of the joy given by picture books, and points out the harmful influence of screen media on child development. In the light of that, the paper proposes that we should recognize the harm of screen media and convey it. | |||||||||||
